OUTSIDE SALE  - “RAIN OR SHINE “

The County of Hanover and Hanover County School Board will conduct a public auction at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Hanover County Fleet Services to sell vehicles.   At 1:00 PM a public auction will be held at the Hanover County Schools Alternative Education Facility for disposing of various general surplus property items of County and Hanover County School Board.  For additional information, contact Jim Totty, Purchasing Department, at (804) 365-6102.

DIRECTIONS:      Fleet Services, 11375 North Lakeridge Parkway.  Exit Interstate 95 at exit 89 both North and South.  Proceed west on Lewistown Road for Ό of a mile and turn right onto North Lakeridge Parkway.  Immediately after you turn,  you will see a brick building with a green roof on your left.  That building is Fleet Services.  From Route 1 North or South turn east on Lewistown Road at the stoplight.  Proceed two miles east and turn left onto Lakeridge Parkway. The vehicles will be parked behind the building.

 PROPERTY:            Hanover Schools Alternative Education Facility is located off of Route 54 West at Patrick Henry High School, 12477 W. Patrick Henry Road.  Turn left at the last turn into Patrick Henry High School. The Alternative Education Facility is behind the High School on the right.  Parking is available behind the office trailers.   The Alternative Education Center is about 6 miles west of Ashland, VA.

PREVIEW:               All items may be viewed beginning at 9:00 AM on the day of sale only.  The sale of vehicles and  buses will begin at 10:00 AM at  Fleet Services.     Vehicles that are purchased can only be picked up during the hours of  8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.  Gates are locked promptly at 4:00 PM.  All vehicles must be picked up by 4:30 PM, Wednesday, May 3, 2006.

Terms  are CASH or APPROVED CHECK with positive identification required.  Full payment due at close of sale. 

 The County and School Board reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  All items are offered for sale “AS IS” with no express or implied warranty.   The purchaser assumes all responsibility for removal of items from the premises.  General items  (not cars) must be removed  by 4:30 PM., Friday April 28, 2006.  Items for which full payment is not received by close of sale and items not removed within the specified time stated above “WILL BE” disposed of as the County sees fit.
